Going's On....
Tara knocked her leg on the concrete wall in the garden on saturday the 4th of July, and on monday we took her to the vets as we thought she had broken it, but instead found out the she has a Cruciate Ligament Rupture and that surgery would be the only option to fix it. Here's a video that I found that explains what it is.

We have now got all the plants in the ground, or potted into bigger pots, lets hope they grow

Does anyone else grow their own veggies?
I currently have 2 litters of medium and giant breed rabbits
The first are 2 weeks old and are all blue's, from blue parents also, maybe keeping a girl back from this litter

Blue

Silver

Runty

And bougle's babies she also had 3 - i maybe keeping the white one if its a doe

Good news first...
We have had a successful hatch this year with one silkie chick hatching which is really lucky as the silkie hen was only brooding the one egg so when it hatched it was a real shock, the chick is now 2 days old and is doing great.

and well the bad news...
The rabbits babies that were born have all died, Bougle is doing great considering, but just keeps looking for her babies, bless. She won't be bred from again as I don't want to put her through that again.
Well spring is well and truely here in my animal shed one of my rabbits has given birth and had 3 lovely babies on the 28/3/09 and my mouse gave birth to babies on the 18/3/09 they have now opened there eyes and look mega cute well to me anyway lol.
Hello I am posting this message to anyone who reads my blog - which i don't think is many lol - if you do let me know and I will keep it updated with anything that goes on here.

Well like the title says I only have 4 rabbits now from th orginial 6 - Broodt my yellow and white dutch cross died leaving her mother Boyd who she was bonded with alone, so I made the decision to let Syroo (broody dad - also neautered) live with her, and rehome kitty which I did also because I havent got the time for her anymore as I go to college full time and she is alot of work with being long haired - my mam doesn't like rabbits so she couldn't help out, I found her a home in the next estate so I can see her whenever I want :-) .

I rehomed a british giant cross with a lop eared rabbits either a french or mini don't quite know my lop breeds lol, and she is living with Indie - he did used to live with a male lionhead but Indie was getting bullied off him - Roary is still with me (so still have 5 rabbits) but I am thinking of rehoming him since he is currently living in a guinea pig (didn't have anything else to put him in) and living alone - he would probably be great living with a female but I can't get another female as I don't have the time :(.

I am going to keep roary for as long as it takes to get him sorted and find a suitable home.

Below is a picture of Indie and the british giant cross bluebelle
This is Bluebell and Indie

Syroo and boyd are Indie's parents
My tri coloured guinea pig has given birth to 3 babies a fawn and white girl, a agouti boy and a grey agouti boy with coloured patchs. They were born on the 2nd of June.

I've added my new chickens to the birds page, also I only have one zebra finch left and that's the male all the girls have died but they were old so its expected, Buddy was younger but I'm not certain of his age, but he's okay with being alone as he gets longer flying time he using just sits on my mice of guinea pig cages.

Rabbit Kits
I've bred one of my doe's with one my my brothers stud bucks, they are both cross breeds so will only be pet rabbits. They are due in a weeks time, pictures will be added to a new page when they arrive.

Guinea Pigs
I've also got guinea pig babies due from my two sow's, not sure when they are due as im unsure of when they came in heat and the day of conception but its only a matter of time as they are both huge and look ready to pop. Will also make a new page to show pictures of them.

If anyone is interested in these babies, i'm from the Co. Durham area so please let me know, good homes only.
